Rangers attacker Sam Lammers move to FC Utrecht may be off after £680k development

FC Utrecht may not be securing the services of Rangers attacker Sam Lammers permanently this summer, according to Get Football News Bene.

The media outlet reported on 4 June that after announcing the signing of David Min for £680k this month, the Dutch side are struggling to meet the wage demands of the 27-year-old.

While they do want a Min-Lammers partnership for next season, it does not appear to be on the cards as things stand.

Rangers must look for alternatives to buy Sam Lammers this summer

Gers are now likely to lose out on a multi-million fee they would’ve potentially got from Utrecht after Lammers’ thrilling performances there on loan.

It’s time for them to find another club to buy Lammers as it makes no sense to give him another chance.

The Dutchman, who struggled in Scotland with only two goals in 31 appearances, has been in sensational form while on loan at FC Utrecht, scoring 11 times.

Despite this success, Utrecht may not be able to secure his services permanently due to financial constraints.

Given Lammers’ previous struggles at Ibrox and the financial implications, it would be more beneficial for Gers to find another club willing to meet their asking price, rather than giving Lammers another chance in their squad.

Hopefully, they can manage to find a club as they desperately need to cash in on players to spend lavishly this summer.

In other Rangers news, weeks of negotiations are now on the cards at Ibrox with Gers aiming to strike a multi-million transfer deal to sign an international attacker.
