Journalist shows video of himself unfollowing Rangers on X after transfer failure

Kristtian Colina has unfollowed Rangers on X after the club’s move for José Córdoba failed.

The journalist shared a screen recording via his personal X account (30 May) which showed him unfollowing the Gers on the social media platform.

Alongside the video, Colina wrote, “Well, since José Córdoba’s deal with Rangers fell apart…”.

The Gers were set to sign Córdoba for £2million but pulled out of a move for the Levski Sofia defender [Chris Jack].

Philippe Clement still needs reinforcements for his Rangers squad at Ibrox

It is hard to imagine the Gers suffering much after Colina chose to unfollow the Glasgow giants on X.

Why the journalist chose to post this video remains unclear, but what is now clear is that Córdoba won’t be making the switch to Ibrox.

A lot of supporters will perhaps feel frustrated by reports of the club not signing players.

But ultimately, it is unlikely that many of those supporters knew much about Córdoba up until a few weeks ago, just as David Edgar suggested.

It won’t be clear whether or not this was the correct decision until much later in the summer.

The fact remains that Rangers need defensive reinforcements at Ibrox.

Therefore, their decision to pull out of a deal which seemed all but complete is frustrating.

But supporters must put their trust in Philippe Clement and have faith that the manager has different ideas and knows what he is doing.

As for Colina, it is unlikely many Rangers supporters will miss his follow.
