James Bisgrove doing work for Rangers despite Saudi exit confirmation – Chris Jack
James Bisgrove was still doing work for Rangers on Friday morning (31 May) despite his exit to Saudi Arabia being confirmed, according to Chris Jack.
Writing on the Rangers Review website (31 May), the news outlet report that Bisgrove’s move to the Middle East was confirmed on Thursday (30 May) after an unexpected move materialised during the week.
But Bisgrove was still working through a to-do list for the Ibrox club the following day, as he looks to to leave Rangers “in as healthy a state as possible”, with compensation expected to be agreed in a matter of weeks.
Rangers summer transfer plans already in motion
Rangers have already begun their plans for the summer transfer window, and things are already in motion.
Jefte was announced earlier this month to compete at left-back, while Liam Kelly is expected to join the club on a free transfer before Euro 2024 begins [Rangers Review, 24 May] and reports suggest the club are in “very advanced” talks for winger Adama Traore [AfricaFoot, 26 May].
There is also negotiations ongoing to extend Oscar Cortes’ loan with the club [Pipe Sierra, 23 May], while Abdallah Sima is a target for a permanent transfer after his successful loan spell from Brighton in the 2023/24 campaign.

So while there is plenty going on, everyone at the club should be aware of the situations and it should be relatively swift to move on despite the unexpected nature of Bisgrove’s departure.
There can be no excuses from the club this summer. They have to get things right and show that they mean business next season, starting with the transfer window.
In other Rangers news, a club boss has broken his silence on a potential move for a South American to move to Ibrox.
