Rangers urged to sign Kilmarnock winger Danny Armstrong
Tam McManus believes that Kilmarnock winger Danny Armstrong is better than the options Rangers have out wide.
He has urged Gers to secure the signing of the 26-year-old England-born Scottish winger who’s on the back of an impressive SPFL season.
Armstrong provided 10 assists and scored six goals in 33 league games and was among the first names on Derek McInnes’ team sheet.
McManus told PLZ Soccer on 27 May at 44:05: “I would sign that Armstrong boy as well from Kilmarnock for Rangers. I think he’s better than what they got.”
Danny Armstrong would be a great signing for Rangers
Armstrong’s consistent performance has made him a key player for McInnes, demonstrating his ability to make a significant impact on the pitch.
Given his success in the league, Armstrong could offer Gers a reliable and proven option on the wing.
His ability to create chances and score goals would be a valuable asset to a team looking to bolster its attacking options.
Moreover, Armstrong’s familiarity with the SPFL would likely enable him to adapt quickly to Rangers’ playing style and contribute effectively from the start.
With only Abdallah Sima out wide currently performing at a higher level for Philippe Clement’s side his potential departure would leave a significant gap in the team.
In this context, securing the signing of Armstrong or a coveted goal scorer like Lawrence Shankland becomes even more crucial for Gers.
Not only would he provide immediate quality and depth to the squad, but he also has the potential to improve further, making him a valuable long-term investment for the club.
