Abdallah Sima makes Rangers transfer admission in brand new Brighton exit verdict
Rangers forward Abdallah Sima has admitted that a permanent move to Ibrox is not his decision ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Senegalese forward enjoyed an excellent season whilst on loan at Ibrox from Brighton, but it remains to be seen if the Light Blues will be able to pay the fee required to make his stay permanent this summer.
Although several pundits have suggested a move may be out of reach for Philippe Clement, the Brighton loanee has now suggested that he would be keen to make the move, even if he knows it is not down to him.
As quoted by the Rangers Review (27 May) he said: “It’s not up to me. I always say I feel at home here and I’m happy to be here. I’ve always loved to give everything for this shirt.
“As I say, this place feels like home and I feel everyone wants to stay in a place that feels like home, so we will see in the next few weeks.
“I think I can be proud of my season and happy with what I’ve contributed. I wanted to do more but of course, I had a bad moment with my injury, which ruled me out for a long time. But I’m always looking forward and I’m not looking back.”
Will Rangers sign Abdallah Sima permanently in the summer transfer window?
If money was no object, each and every Rangers supporter would be desperate to see Sima back in a Gers shirt come the start of next season. However, that just may not be possible.
Clement has already suggested that the Light Blues will be undergoing a big transformation when the window opens this summer and such a big turnaround of players will require a decent bit of money behind the manager.

It seems unlikely, therefore, that the Belgian will be willing to fork out millions of pounds to essentially stand still be securing Sima and Oscar Cortes permanently. While both players have impressed, their signing doesn’t necessarily signal a progression.
Ultimately, Sima is almost powerless to lower Brighton’s asking price this summer. It appears as though agreeing on personal terms wouldn’t be an issue, but there are still plenty of stumbling blocks in this transfer already.
