Rangers news as Doctor issues Jose Cordoba medical claim amid £2m development
Jose Cordoba should have no issues in clearing his Rangers medical amid his injury history, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Levski Sofia defender should take little to no time to adapt to life in the SPFL next season.
Gers are expected to pay £2million to make him the second first-team signing of the summer. [Daily Record]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“The durability he’s shown as he’s avoided major injuries bodes well for his physical rather than a negative.
“With him coming from a lesser league, the club will be looking at his overall fitness and metrics but the good news is they have the off-season to build on those if there are any deficits.
“I see him passing his medical without any issues and actually adapting quickly to the league.“
Rangers look to strengthen their backline with Jose Cordoba’s transfer
Cordoba’s arrival will give Philippe Clement another option at the back.
Given his defensive injuries and the overall frailties in defence at the end of the 2023/24 season, it makes a lot of sense to bring in defensive reinforcement.

Signing him ahead of Norwich City may prove to be a challenge but if Gers get things done quickly, he could be announced within the next few days.
In other Rangers news, another first-team player is now set to seal Ibrox as summer exodus continues.
