Huge turnover on cards at Rangers as Tom English drops verdict post Celtic

Tom English claims there is a huge turnover on the cards at Rangers this summer after they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Celtic.

The Hoops won the Scottish Cup on Saturday, 25 May at Hampden Park, in a closely-fought Old Firm derby.

The BBC journalist believes that Dujon Sterling and Mohamed Diomande were the pick of the bunch for Philippe Clement’s side and that the squad should be built around the two.

He wrote on Twitter: “Scottish Cup final was exciting in its own way. Diomande and Sterling were terrific for Rangers, who were on top when the goal went in. Clement should rebuild around them. He needs more midfield warriors in their mould and fewer bit-part or no-part players. Huge turnover coming.”

Rangers must build around Dujon Sterling and Mohamed Diomade

Building a team around standout players like Sterling and Diomande can be a strategic move for the club.

These two have proven their worth with consistent performances, especially since the turn of the year. Sterling, a versatile defender, who’s playing in midfield as well as in attack, is undoubtedly like a Swiss army knife for Clement.

Diomande, a dynamic midfielder, has shown his ability to influence games positively, making him integral to the team’s success.

By focusing the squad’s development around these key players, Gers can leverage their strengths to create a more cohesive and effective team.

Moreover, this approach can help streamline the recruitment process.

By identifying the positions where Rangers need to strengthen – such as striker, central defender, central midfielder, and wide attacker – the club can focus its resources on acquiring the right kind of players.

In other Rangers news, names of seven first-team players have emerged who are mooted to seal their permanent Ibrox exit this summer.
