Keith Jackson predicts result of Rangers v Celtic Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park
Keith Jackson has predicted the result of the Scottish Cup final between Rangers and Celtic at Hampden Park on Saturday May 25th.
Celtic are looking to seal a league and cup double with another win over Philippe Clement’s side, while the Gers are looking to seal a cup double and finally beat their fierce rivals after failing in four attempts this season.
Writers of the Daily Record (24 May) were asked for their predictions for the big game, and senior writer Jackson admitted that he can only see the game going one way and backed Brendan Rodgers’ side to waltz to victory.
“Given the track record of Brendan Rodgers in this fixture, coupled with his side’s end of season hot streak it’s impossible to see anything other than another Celtic win,” he said.
“If they score early it could become a punishing day for their rivals. Celtic 3 Rangers 0.”
Rangers under all the pressure and no pressure vs Celtic
It’s an interesting situation that the club find themselves in right now at Ibrox, because there are big question marks about the current squad.
That means there is little pressure on them to deliver in this game, because several of these players won’t be at the club next season and the manager has already admitted that he feels big change is needed.
But at the same time it’s simply never acceptable for Rangers to lose to Celtic, and even moreso when there is a trophy on the line.

That means that while there is no pressure as the expectation is on the floor, there is all the pressure in the world as they simply cannot fail to beat Celtic five times in one season.
The squad are battling for their own pride as well as the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon, and they need to prove everyone wrong.
