Jefte passes Rangers medical after arrival in UK to kick of hectic summer at Ibrox – Chris Jack
Jefte has passed his Rangers medical after arriving in the UK, according to Chris Jack.
Jack, writing via the Rangers Review (24 May), has revealed that the Brazillian completed his medical at Ibrox on Thursday 23 May.
As well as the arrival of Jefte, the Gers remain in the driving seat to land Levski Sofia star Jose Cordoba.
These arrivals are expected to kick off a busy summer at Ibrox with Philippe Clement set to oversee a big overhaul of his squad.
Rangers set for plenty of change at Ibrox under Philippe Clement
Rangers supporters should expect plenty of change at Ibrox this summer.
The squad which lines up for the Scottish Cup final against Celtic on Saturday (25 May) will likely look very different to the team that takes to the field when the Scottish Premiership returns in August.
While their league campaign didn’t end on the best note as they were pipped to the title by their Glasgow rivals, there is no reason supporters shouldn’t get behind Clement.
He arrived midway through the season and has had little opportunity to put his stamp on the Rangers team.
Clement has proven during his short time at Ibrox that he is a quality manager and with time and backing, he could help the Gers end Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football.
And while these are just words, the actions suggest that the club is prepared to back Clement.
Jefte is already through the door, and it sounds as though he could be the first of many.
