Rangers exit news as Michael Beale signings on way out already at Ibrox
Several players signed for Rangers by Michael Beale could leave the club as early as this summer’s transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Philippe Clement will lead a major overhaul of the Light Blues’ squad this summer and may look to cash in on players brought to the club by his predecessor.
Sky Sports name-checked Sam Lammers, who only arrived at Ibrox in June 2023 but could be on the way out less than a year later following an impressive loan spell at FC Utrecht.
Lammers managed just two goals across 31 Gers appearances across all competitions in the first half of this season but scored 10 in just 18 in the Eredivisie – form which could earn the Dutch forward a permanent move back to his homeland with Utrecht.
Rangers preparing for summer of huge change
Rangers brought in nine players to be part of then-manager Michael Beale’s squad last summer, but it’s fair to say that the results have been very mixed indeed.
Jack Butland arriving on a free transfer has seen him produce career-best form at Ibrox, while the performances of Dujon Sterling and loanee Abdallah Sima have also garnered praise throughout the season.

However, the players brought in for sizeable fees have had much less success, with Lammers’ £3.5million move from Atalanta not paying off in the slightest, as shown by his loan to Utrecht in January.
£5.6million striker Danilo was averaging a goal every three games before a season-ending injury in September, and while his deputy Cyriel Dessers has breached the 20-goal barrier, several high-profile misses have drawn the ire of fans and pundits alike.
Should players like Lammers, Dessers and Jose Cifuentes be moved on at Clement’s behest this summer, the Rangers hierarchy must ensure that whoever arrives in their place has a much greater impact at Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, the club are likely to lock horns with Celtic over the signing of a highly-rated left-back in the summer transfer window.
