Rangers consider Gareth Henderby to be new academy director after Nordsjaelland stint
Rangers are considering the appointment of Gareth Henderby as their new academy director after his time in Denmark with Nordsjaelland, according to the Daily Record.
Scott Burns has reported (19 May) that the Gers are looking for a replacement for Zeb Jacobs who is set for a move to Feyenoord.
In his time in Denmark, he worked in various roles which has seen him bring through players like West Ham star Mohammed Kudus in recent years.
Rangers already have a relationship with Nordsjaelland after signing Mohamed Diomande on loan in January.
Rangers transfer strategy needs to improve
The Light Blues have made some great signings in recent times which have improved their squad but haven’t fired them to a league title.
This season Jack Butland has proved to be a great addition and considering he came on a free, value doesn’t get any better.
There have been some more questionable signings such as Sam Lammers who failed to have an impact before being shipped off in January.
Rangers do have to operate on a shoestring budget which certainly makes things difficult especially when a new squad needs building.
They haven’t been shy about selling key players recently. Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield and Glen Kamara all departed over the summer.

With them moving on, amongst others, it certainly made an impact which has left Philippe Clement short in the title race.
Over the summer he needs quantity but certainly needs some quality especially with all his loan players also leaving the club.
There is plenty of work to be done over the course of the summer transfer window.
