Rangers vs Celtic Scottish Cup final draws absolutely crazy verdict for Hampden clash
Derek Ferguson cannot wait for the first Scottish Cup final between Rangers and Celtic in years as he expects the occasion to be “absolutely crazy”.
The Light Blues lost the final Scottish Premiership Old Firm derby in front of 100% Hoops fans at Parkhead last weekend to surely end any hope of a title win, but an even split at Hampden Park on 25 May is teed up to be “amazing” according to the ex-Ibrox favourite.
It will be Philippe Clement’s fourth and final attempt this season to get a win over Brendan Rodgers and would see him secure a cup double in his first year in charge if he does, and Ferguson expects a feisty encounter.
He exclusively told Ibrox News: “Listen, it gets a bit mad up in Scotland at the best of times in Glasgow, the 25th of May is going to be absolutely crazy, mental, beautiful, everything, all the mad words. It’s going to be amazing.
“We have got the capability to go up against a right good Celtic side and beat them on the day. We had a wee bite at them on the 11th, obviously that was be a different scenario at Parkhead, all Celtic fans.
“But it’s just set up for 25 May, half Rangers support, half Celtic, oh I cannae wait. Tough tackles, there’ll be a few flying in that afternoon, that’s for sure.”
Philippe Clement targets Rangers cup double vs Brendan Rodgers

Thanks to defeat at Parkhead all but confirming the rejuvenated title race has been ultimately thrown away there is now major significance on the cup final for Rangers and their manager.
Lifting a second trophy will restore confidence that Clement does indeed have this side moving in the right direction ahead of his summer rebuild and will give him a crucial victory in an Old Firm derby.
But failure to do so is likely to increase fears that his early success amounted to a strong new-manager bounce and his reign might be headed the same way as Michael Beale’s.
In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement could now sign a pair of Scottish sensations to replace exit-bound flops.
