Robbie Fraser agent will be licking his lips at Rangers turn of events at Ibrox v Dundee
Robbie Fraser’s agent will be thrilled after the left-back made his Rangers debut in the 5-2 win over Dundee at Ibrox on Tuesday night.
Fraser, 21, replaced Ridvan Yilmaz in the 61st minute even though Borna Barisic was on Philippe Clement’s bench.
The Rangers B player will see his Ibrox contract expire this summer but ex-Gers forward Loy believes his representatives will benefit from his Scottish Premiership appearance versus Dundee this week.
Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland Extra’s Sportsound on Tuesday night (08:54pm, 14 May), Loy said: “It’s a big moment for the young lad, it really is.
“I’ve been in that position Robbie Fraser’s in, standing at the side of the pitch waiting to make your debut here. It’s exciting but, at the same time, he’s got to be laser-focused.
“If he is out of contract in the summer then his agent will be licking his lips at his appearance here.”
Borna Barisic finished at Rangers after Philippe Clement decision
Every Rangers fan will have seen the updates on Barisic’s future at Ibrox.
Ultimately, the Croatian full-back should have been punted out of the door at Govan years ago because he’s never been anywhere near good enough to play at the level the Gers want to be at.
But he’s now coming to the end of his contract and a move to Turkey seems to lay in wait – so why not look at players like Fraser?
The young left-back turned 21 last month, so you’d imagine that if he had a long-term future at Ibrox, he would have made a senior debut for the club a lot sooner than Tuesday night against Dundee.

Loy is right about Fraser’s agent though.
Not only does it increase his chance of getting a new deal at Rangers but it also means that if he does move on, he might be able to negotiate better terms or even try to win a transfer to a better club than he would have done with zero Ibrox appearances.
