Alan Brazil teases Ally McCoist over talkSPORT absence as Celtic v Rangers claim made
Alan Brazil aimed a joke at Ally McCoist over the latter’s absence from talkSPORT ahead of the Old Firm between Celtic and Rangers
The Gers travel to Parkhead on Saturday (11 May) knowing nothing but a win is enough to move level on points with the league leaders.
With the title race potentially hinging on the clash at Celtic Park, Brazil has made a joke suggesting how nervous his co-presenter is live on talkSPORT Breakfast [10 May].
He said: “Has anyone seen McCoist? Please let us know. He rejected all our producer’s calls yesterday. He’s clearly just not confident.”
Can Rangers win against Celtic?
After a sticky run of form across most of April, Philippe Clement has seemingly dragged his side out of the rut.
Three wins on the bounce have helped maintain some form of hope that the Light Blues can catch Celtic in the title race.
Despite a shaky start, a solid win with four goals scored was secured at Ibrox against Kilmarnock to set them in good stead for the Old Firm.
A win away to their fierce rivals would be enough to bring them level on points with just two games remaining in the Scottish Championship.
It will be a turn-up for the books if Clement can secure a win away in an Old Firm as he will become the first Gers manager since Steven Gerrard to do so.

The Englishman helped secure a 2-0 win in October 2020, which means three and a half years have passed since an away win against Celtic for Rangers.
They will have to be on top of their game, but if they can keep up their recent winning run there is no reason why three points can’t be taken back to Ibrox.
