Rangers transfer teased by agent in Raphael Borges Rodrigues update
Raphael Borges Rodrigues’ agent has teased a potential move to Scotland with Rangers already listed as a potential destination this summer.
Ben Khalfallah has recognised “interest” in his client with talks already said to be underway over a potential move to Ibrox in the near future.
The Dutch-born Australian youth international remains contracted to A-League club Macarthur for next season, but Rangers are hoping to beat Championship clubs Coventry and Watford to his signature.
In quotes reported by The Daily Record (8 May, page 48), Khalfallah told FTBL: “There is definitely interest from England, Scotland and mainland Europe.
“The way things stand, I imagine he’s a player who will be moving to Europe in the near future. He’s one of the best young talents in Australia.”
Will Raphael Borges Rodrigues sign for Rangers?
Rangers have plenty of work to do this summer as Philippe Clement aims to bolster his options out wide, regardless of whether they beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title at the end of this season.
Kemar Roofe is out of contract in June, while current first-team regulars Fabio Silva and Abdallah Sima are only on loan at the club, with no agreement in place for the Gers to sign either player on a permanent deal yet.

Oscar Cortes’ loan does include an option to buy, but the futures of youngsters like himself and Ross McCausland have come into question.
Clement will therefore be hoping to add to his attacking options in the wide positions, and a top talent like Rodrigues would certainly give Rangers a new dimension in the final third next season.
If the Gers’ title chase does fall short this season, bringing in Rodrigues for the new season could prove decisive in wrestling Scottish Premiership dominance away from the green and white half of Glasgow.
In other Rangers news, one loanee has had his hopes of a permanent move dashed.
