Tam McManus slams Ibrox mentality in Rangers v Kilmarnock prediction

Tam McManus sees Kilmarnock getting something from their game against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday, 5 May.

The former Hibs forward even slammed the mentality at Ibrox, asserting that they may not be able to handle the pressure.

He foresees a scenario where Celtic could hold a six-point lead at the end of the weekend and have one hand on the title.

McManus told PLZ Soccer on 3 May at 15:13: “There is enormous pressure on Rangers and can they handle that? I’m not so sure.

“I think if Celtic can go and beat Hearts tomorrow, I think Rangers could drop points on Sunday I think that’s not only six points, it could be the goal difference goes up as well. I think it’s at five goals at the minute.

“There’s massive pressure on but Celtic need to do their part. Need to win the game tomorrow against Hearts. I think they will but I think it’ll be tight and then over it to Rangers to see if they can do it again but Kilmarnock have been excellent this season.

“They’ve shown against Old Firm they’ve beaten both of them this season and I think they’re capable of going and causing Rangers problems.”

Rangers must beat Kilmarnock and silence Tam McManus

Despite the pressure on Gers and McManus’ doubts about their ability to handle it, home advantage could play a pivotal role in the outcome of the game.

The Ibrox crowd is known for its passionate support, which could provide Philippe Clement’s with the extra boost they need to overcome Kilmarnock.

Moreover, Rangers have shown resilience and determination in their pursuit of the title, with recent victories demonstrating their ability to perform under pressure after a few setbacks.

The team will be motivated to silence critics like McManus and prove their mettle in front of their home crowd.

They will need to assert themselves from the first minute, taking control of the game and dictating the pace.

Hopefully, the recent injuries do not play a factor and the players can go on about their jobs professionally on Sunday.
