Four Lads react as Rangers striker Danilo teases injury return on social media
Four Lads Had A Dream have reacted after Rangers striker Danilo hinted at his long-awaited return from injury via social media on Monday (29 April).
The Brazilian has not played a single minute for the Gers since the 1-0 win over Hearts in December, having undergone surgery on a medial ligament injury, though it appears he could be close to a return.
Danilo posted a video via his Instagram story, showing himself back on the grass, accompanied by the caption: “Feels good to be back on the field.”
Taking to X on Monday (29 April), Four Lads reacted to the social media story, writing: “Things you love to see, Danilo back on the field.” The post was accompanied with a blue heart and a clapping emoji.
Could Danilo make his Rangers return this season?
The return of Danilo could be a hugely significant boost for Philippe Clement at Ibrox, especially considering the number of injuries the squad has faced this season.
Kemar Roofe, Rabbi Matondo, Abdallah Sima and Oscar Cortes have all suffered from their individual injuries, which have caused havoc for the Gers and the manager.
Despite Cyriel Dessers hitting 20 goals for the season against St Mirren on Sunday 28 April, Rangers have few options in the final third, and Clement will be keen for Danilo to be a potential backup.
Dessers has been the first-choice striker since Danilo’s injury, and despite continuing to hit the back of the net, his all-round performances have been regularly criticised.
While the Brazilian is unlikely to be ready to play a full 90 minutes at the top level in the very near future, fans will be very excited at the prospect of another option in the striker position.
Danilo scored four goals in his first 12 Scottish Premiership matches, having joined the club last summer from Feyenoord, he would have undoubtedly gone on to net a few more.
In other Rangers news, another star man could be allowed to leave for around £4million this summer.
