Ryan Jack may have played last Rangers game at Ibrox as news emerges

Ryan Jack may not feature again for Rangers not just this season but ever again as an injury expert has issued an update on his fitness.

Dr Rajpal Brar, speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, laid out all the possible scenarios for the 32-year-old.

He explained what the long-term solutions could be for the midfielder that Philippe Clement was referring to.

He said: “The club have confirmed they’re eyeing long-term solutions and that could be a variety of things, including a longer return to play timeline so as to not rush him back or potentially a surgical procedure.

If it is the latter, he could even be out for months.

Difficult to say if they may part ways with him based on this injury because I’m not sure how integral they do or don’t consider him to the team – some veterans are still highly valued as key characters on the squad even when not playing.

Ryan Jack has served Rangers with distinction

Jack has been a crucial player for Rangers since joining the club from Aberdeen in 2017.

As a Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup winner with the Ibrox outfit, the 32-year-old has made over 180 appearances, showcasing his importance to the team.

His experience and quality have been described as invaluable for the squad, contributing significantly to Rangers’ success over the years.

However, Jack’s recurring injury issues have cast a shadow over his future with the club.

Despite signing a one-year contract extension in 2023, the persistent fitness concerns have led to discussions about whether Gers and Jack might part ways this summer.

The potential for a surgical procedure to address his injury woes could result in Jack being sidelined for months, further complicating his future with the club.

Ryan Jack may not feature for Rangers at Ibrox again

Given the financial implications of having a player on the books who is not consistently available for selection, the club’s management must weigh the benefits of retaining Jack against the cost of his continued absence.

If his contract is not extended, it would mark the end of an era for Jack at Rangers, a club he has served with distinction.

In the event that Jack does not continue at Ibrox, his departure would leave a void in the squad, both in terms of his on-field contributions and his leadership qualities.

As a national team player and a Scottish homegrown talent, his experience and presence have been invaluable for Rangers. His potential exit would force the club to seek a replacement capable of filling the void left by his absence.
