Rangers exit news as green light given for John Lundstram transfer at Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avci has given his side the green light to try and sign John Lundstram from Rangers, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish outlet has listed the 30-year-old as one of several names on Trabzonspor’s transfer target list this summer, with left-back Borna Barisic also included.
Lundstram is out of contract at Ibrox this summer and the Turkish side wants an agreement in principle done early to sign him on a free transfer.
John Lundstram looks set to leave Rangers for Trabzonspor
Rangers signed Lundstram following his departure from Premier League side Sheffield United, and he’s won both the Scottish Cup and League Cup during his time at Ibrox, as well as a Europa League runners-up medal in 2022.
During this time, Lundstram has made 149 appearances for the Gers, scoring 11 goals in all competitions, and his 30 starts in 33 league games this season show he’s still a key member of Philippe Clement’s side.

However, his performances have dipped in recent weeks, and that has only heightened rumours that the 30-year-old is on his way out of Ibrox. He was well off the pace in Rangers’ shock 3-2 loss at Ross County on April 14 and is yet to find the net in a Premiership match this campaign.
As Rangers push to hunt down Celtic in the title race, as well as defeat their Old Firm rivals in the upcoming Scottish Cup final, Lundstram will be hoping to play his part in a strong end to the season before potentially moving on to pastures new.
