SFA in embarrassing Celtic mistake at Hampden, it must be fixed for Rangers v Hearts
The SFA has been slammed for an embarrassing spelling mistake during the Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park and have been urged to fix it before Rangers face Hearts.
On Sunday (21 April), the Gers face Steven Naismith’s side in the Scottish Cup with Celtic awaiting the winner in the final.
The Hoops won on penalties after a 3-3 draw after extra time but it was what happened post-match that caught the eye.
After Joe Hart saved the match-winning penalty, a fan took to X to share an image of the big screen. It read: “Scotthish Cup finalists”.
Fans have slammed this amateurish moment and the SFA simply need to fix this shoddy error ahead of the Rangers v Hearts clash.
Will Rangers beat Hearts?
With the form that Rangers have found themselves in, in the past two games, the Scottish Cup provides a welcome distraction.
A defeat to Ross County was followed up with a goalless draw to Dundee which left all the Rangers fans very frustrated. Off the back of an Old Firm clash at Ibrox where they came back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to earn a point in a dramatic 3-3 draw.
It has left the Gers three points adrift in the title race against Celtic and the league title is looking extremely difficult now. But the chance of further silverware, having already won the League Cup, is still alive and kicking in the Scottish Cup.
The Gers haven’t lost against Hearts since 2020 so come into this one with the history of the tie behind them. Add to this a 5-0 win earlier this season and Phillipe Clement will be hopeful of a result for his side.
Compared to Rangers, Hearts have been in good form of late. They have won back-to-back games in the SPFL, scoring six goals.
Despite this, the Light Blues will need this win to spur them forward in the title race once they return to SPFL action.
Let’s see who becomes a “Scotthish Cup finalist”…
