Rangers: Tam McManus slams Cyriel Dessers and Kemar Roofe amid transfer claims
Tam McManus has savaged Fabio Silva, Cyriel Dessers and Kemar Roofe as Rangers dropped points against Dundee and Ross County.
The former Hibs forward predicts an exodus in the summer and states that it’ll be a surprise if five or six of the starters against Dundee will be at the club next season.
Gers have now relinquished the advantage in the league to Celtic with matters not in their hands.
Speaking on the PLZ Soccer Show on 19 April, McManus said at 4:37: “You’ll be lucky if five or six of them are still there. They signed that boy Silva from Wolves, they didn’t need him. They needed a number nine, a goal scorer.
“That’s why there’s a lot of talk about Shankland and that is going to cost Rangers dearly.
“Roofe played that night, after a long time, and was poor. Dessers is just poor for me. They looked as if they were a team that had resigned to not win the league it was like it was an end of season game.”
Rangers have a mass exit on the cards this summer
McManus is right and this situation has been particularly disheartening for supporters, as it indicates a lack of consistency and inability to maintain a strong position in the league.
Philippe Clement faces a significant challenge in proving his worth and ability to lead the team to success.
With the recent slump, Clement must demonstrate that he can motivate and guide the players to overcome this setback and regain their standing.
His task includes not only improving the team’s performance on the field but also managing the expectations and morale of the fans.
The pressure is on the Belgian to make strategic decisions, identify and address the team’s weaknesses, and foster a winning mentality among the players.
He’ll already have made up his mind on most of the players and there needs to be an exodus to wield out the bad apples this summer.
In other Rangers news, Heart and Hand have issued a verdict on James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and John Lundstram departing Ibrox this summer.
