Rangers: Nicolas Raskin to quit Ibrox after what Philippe Clement did
Nicolas Raskin looks set to leave Ibrox this summer after Philippe Clement once again snubbed him despite the injury issues at Rangers.
Mohammed Diomande and Ryan Jack were both absent from the squad for the 3-2 defeat to Ross County due to injury, leaving Raskin and John Lundstram as the only fit natural central midfielders available to the boss.
But despite initially being first-choice in midfield upon Clement’s arrival earlier this season, Raskin’s standing in the squad has dropped significantly and he was left out of the team once again with Kieran Dowell getting the nod instead.
At different points this season Raskin has been snubbed too, with natural full-back Dujon Sterling and natural attacker Tom Lawrence used there as an alternative.
Nicolas Raskin to leave Rangers?
The 23-year-old has started just twice since February, which clearly won’t be enough to appease his need for regular football.
One of those came in the 2-0 win over Ayr in the Scottish Cup, while his most recent start came a month later in the 2-1 defeat to Motherwell at Ibrox where he was hooked at half-time.
Since that substitution Raskin has made just three appearances, all from the bench, for a total of 21 minutes of action (via WhoScored).
With the summer transfer window not far away, the club are surely going to be eyeing additions in midfield with Ryan Jack and John Lundstram both out of contract. But it also seems more than possible that Raskin could look to move on too.

He is now too old to play for the Belgium Under-21 squad and with the European Championships this summer, he had a real chance this season to stake his claim for the national team. Now though, he isn’t even on the radar after a poor season in Scotland.
If he isn’t in Clement’s plans, which he doesn’t seem to be considering his lack of action in recent months, then the club could look to cash in and use that money to bolster the squad elsewhere.
Raskin was a fan favourite after Michael Beale initially brought him in, but his stock has fallen and an Ibrox exit now looks likely.
