Rangers: New footage of Philippe Clement and Don Cowie emerges after uproar v Ross County

Rangers boss Philippe Clement did eventually greet Don Cowie after the shock defeat to Ross County on Sunday (14 April), footage on social media has shown.

Tam McManus originally took to X to say it was “very poor” after Clement appeared to blank his County counterpart following the 3-2 reverse at the Global Energy Stadium.

However, X user Le Souness later posted a video showing Clement coming back from the runner to shake hands and embrace with Cowie who was doing media duties.

Philippe Clement will be fuming with Rangers after Ross County reverse

Just as it was right that Clement was criticised for appearing to snub Cowie following the game, it is right that he be praised for coming back out to greet the County boss and give him his deserved credit.

But, the truth is, Clement will be absolutely seething with his Rangers side and, quite frankly, who could blame him? It was an absolutely terrible defeat for Rangers against an opponent they really should have been beaten.

It has obviously been a frustrating week for the Gers, who were supposed to face Dundee on Wednesday (10 April) only for the game to be postponed for a second time this season.

However, it was no excuse for what was a truly disappointing outing for Rangers, who still have a game in hand over Celtic but trail their Old Firm rivals now by four points.

It means that you do feel that Rangers need to win every game after the season split, which will include another clash with Celtic, to get their hands on the title. Here’s hoping they can do the job but this loss will sting badly.

In other Rangers news, a new plan B has emerged for the rearranged Dundee fixture.
