Rangers: Billy Dodds slams ‘horrendous’ moment live on BBC in shock loss to Ross County
Billy Dodds slammed the “horrendous” defending he saw from Rangers in their loss to Ross County on Sunday (14 April).
The Gers fell to a 3-2 loss at Victoria Park in a massive dent to their Scottish Premiership title aspirations.
Rangers struggled with Ross County’s counters and were made to look silly with the third goal in particular, netted by Josh Smith.
Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland [14 April, 1:25pm], Dodds said: “Rangers look really nervous; they’re poor defensively.
“Nobody picks up Simms. It’s a brilliant finish. However, it’s horrendous from Rangers defensively.”
Rangers stunned by Ross County in Dingwall
Rangers could not really have picked a worse time to put in one of their worst performances of the Philippe Clement era.
After taking the lead through a Jack Baldwin own goal 15 minutes in, it looked like being business as usual for the Gers.
However, they never really left first gear before half-time and were blown away by Ross County in the second half.
The defending for each goal was poor and, while James Tavernier did pull one back from the penalty spot, the defeat was deserved.

Clement will be furious at what he saw from his side in what is a key period of the season. The Gers are now no longer title favourites.
With a quick turnaround before the rearranged Dundee game, Clement has some massive selection decisions to make.
On the basis of this display, he could do with ripping up the entire back-line for that match.
