Rangers v Dundee: Disciplinary procedures claim emerges as hearing scheduled
A hearing has been scheduled as Dundee may be hit with disciplinary procedures for twice rescheduling the Rangers fixture, according to the Daily Record.
The news outlet reported on 11 April that Dundee will have to answer the multiple charges they’ve been hit with by the SPFL next week.
Dundee club secretary Eric Drysdale refused to provide any clarifications ahead of next week’s hearing.
He said: “There is a disciplinary process. There are rules within the SPFL. There are allegations we have breached them. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to comment at this time, with the live proceedings on the go and the meeting next week. There will be time for comment after the disciplinary process next week.”
Rangers v Dundee chaos continues
Dundee have rightly faced significant criticism for their unprofessional conduct related to the repeated postponements of matches, particularly against Gers.
This unprofessionalism has brought the club into disrepute, causing significant inconvenience to fans, players and the SPFL.
The club’s management failed to address the issues with their pitch at Dens Park, leading to a series of match cancellations.
This has not only disrupted the league schedule but also affected the morale and performance of both Dundee and their opponents.
The situation has also led to financial losses for the clubs involved and the league, as well as tarnished the reputation of Scottish football.
In light of these events, it is necessary for the SPFL to take strict disciplinary action against Dundee.

A severe punishment, such as fines, points deductions or even temporary ground closures, would send a strong message that the SPFL takes these issues seriously and expects clubs to maintain a certain standard of professionalism and responsibility.
