Rangers: Middlesbrough could cash in on Tom Glover amid Jack Butland transfer news
Rangers and Celtic are competing to sign Middlesbrough goalkeeper Tom Glover as the Championship side may look to cash in this summer, according to FTBL.
The Australian news outlet reported on 11 April that Celtic want Glover to replace the retiring Joe Hart, while he would arrive at Ibrox to provide competition for Jack Butland.
This comes shortly after transfer rumours emerged suggesting Butland could be on his way out of Ibrox as he wants to make a return to the Premier League.

Glover, an Australian international who went to the World Cup in Qatar despite not having made his senior debut, has also attracted interest from FC Copenhagen and Newcastle, displaying how highly sought-after he is.
With 20 appearances for Middlesbrough under his belt so far this season, Glover has become the understudy to Seny Dieng after suffering an injury, after his performances cemented himself on the radar of several clubs.
His place on the bench in the Championship could hint he would be willing to make the move to Ibrox even without any assurances of first-team football, although similar would likely be the case with Newcastle, while Celtic could offer him the number one spot.

Butland has been a hero for Rangers this season with his performances drawing high praise, but with that praise comes admiration from potential suitors, meaning Gers will have to be prepared if he does decide to leave this summer.
