Rangers: Four Lads savage Chris Sutton and Michael Stewart
Four Lads have hit out at former Celtic striker Chris Sutton and ex Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart for their commentary on Rangers.
The duo constantly berate everything associated with the Ibrox outfit and are always looking to fire shots at their players or managers.
Sutton covers the game via Sky Sports while Stewart is employed as a pundit to work for the BBC.
Four Lads wrote on their site on 10 April: “In Chris Sutton we have someone who is the Jekyll and Hyde of the punditry world. South of the border he is sensible, measured and almost normal. But the minute he covers Scottish football he puts on the green-tinted spectacles, the clown mask and performs his role as the classroom idiot for his employers, for that’s seemingly what they want.
“He is a performing actor who is willing to make himself look like a moron in exchange for his pay-packet, abandoning the semi-reasonable persona he shows to England and becoming nothing more than a biased cheerleader whom we must endure.
“Michael Stewart on the other hand doesn’t even benefit from the normal alter-ego of Sutton. The failed Rangers trialist – not that he’s bitter – has to be one of the worst commentators anywhere in sport. Like Sutton he is unquestionably biased, so much so he was called out by Tom English on this weekend’s show, however Stewart also makes the fatal mistake of misjudging his own intelligence.
“As a combination, this is particularly toxic and results in a level of insight that actually has you feeling your own brain cells decaying as you listen.”
Stewart and Sutton are as anti Rangers as they come
Sutton and Stewart are certainly two of the worst Scottish football pundits due to their overt bias towards Celtic and against Gers, especially when it comes to the former.
Their commentary lacks neutrality and professionalism, often dismissing Rangers’ achievements and portraying them negatively.
Sutton and Stewart tend to overlook Celtic’s or the club against Gers’ faults while frequently criticising the Ibrox outfit, which results in one-sided, unbalanced coverage.
This lack of impartiality not only undermines the integrity of their analysis but also alienates viewers seeking fair and informed commentary.
As pundits, their role is to provide insightful analysis, not to act as fans of a particular team.

Their approach is seen as damaging to the credibility of sports journalism and the overall viewing experience for fans who desire objective coverage.
In other Rangers news, a Leeds-born striker has confirmed that he wants to move to Ibrox and is available on a free transfer this summer.
