Four Lads hit back at Simon Jordan amid Rangers v Dundee fixture controversy
Four Lads Had A Dream have hit back at Simon Jordan after he claimed Rangers could have played Dundee last week before the Old Firm clash.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday (11 April), Jordan claimed that the Ibrox club only had themselves to blame as they opted not to play against Dundee before the Celtic game as it didn’t suit them.
But reacting to the comments on their own personal Twitter account (11 April), Four Lads claimed it was a “mystery” that the blame was being laid at the feet of Rangers as they have made several offers to get the game on that have all been deemed “unacceptable”.
“Seen this said a lot, but there was no option for Rangers to play Dundee last week before the Celtic game,” they wrote.
“The pitch was unplayable and not an option. I can’t be (bothered) getting into a fight on why or blaming anyone, but that was the situation with the pitch.
“Rangers have offered various alternatives including playing last week, today, different venues, fixture reverse, all have been deemed unacceptable.
“Quite how anyone is blaming Rangers or accusing us of not wanting to play is a mystery.”
Dundee pitch controversy is on them and SPFL only, not Rangers
It’s quite crazy that some sections of the media are trying to put the blame on Rangers for an away game at a stadium where five different games have been postponed this season.
Dens Park has clearly not been invested in properly when you consider how Tannadice has been able to cope with the weather in the same period.

But to suggest Rangers didn’t want the match to be played is just weird considering they’ve travelled to Dundee twice to play only to travel back for no reason, and now the game has to be played in the midweek before a cup semi-final.
Rangers want the game to be played ASAP so that they can get the points on the board and move back to the top of the SPFL table.
Simon Jordan was simply waffling while on talkSPORT and trying to find a way to twist the blame towards Ibrox, rather than just accepting the fact Dundee and the SPFL have got this one totally wrong all on their own.
