Sky Sports footage emerges from Dens Park ahead of Dundee v Rangers pitch inspection
Sky Sports News have shared brand new footage from Dens Park ahead of an 11am pitch inspection to see if Rangers v Dundee will go ahead.
The clash between the two sides was postponed last month due to a waterlogged pitch, but Dundee have had major issues with the pitch in recent weeks and there is concern the game on Wednesday night (10 April) may be postponed too.
Sky Sports had a presenter at the ground ahead of a planned 11am pitch inspection and say the pitch “isn’t too bad” currently, but a forecast for later in the day says there is a 90% chance of rain at 3pm which could cause issues for the fixture.
Rangers will be furious with new Dundee development
Philippe Clement was absolutely furious with the fact the game was once again in doubt after already being postponed once, calling the situation “crazy” and “bad for the league”.
However, the condition of the pitch isn’t looking too bad according to Sky Sports and it could be a situation where things are just being exaggerated by the coverage.
But with a big rainfall expected later this afternoon, closer to kick-off, it makes things very difficult for anyone to really control and Rangers will be furious that they’re once again left in the lurch.
The fans are once again an afterthought too as they will be expected to travel across the country to the game in midweek, for a game that may not even take place again.
Regardless of the inspection at 11am, nobody will have a genuine idea of the status of the game until much later in the day and the club will be furious about it.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign this Euro ace in £3.4m deal with an official offer expected soon.
