Rangers vs Dundee: Four Lads react to ‘Utter Shambles’ amid official announcement

Four Lads Have A Dream have labelled the decision for a second pitch inspection ahead of Dundee’s clash with Rangers on Wednesday 10 April as an “utter shambles”.

The two sides were due to play each other last month before a waterlogged pitch saw the game postponed 90 minutes before kick-off, and there are concerns it could be called off again with heavy rain forecast for later this afternoon.

The pitch passed an 11 am inspection by referee Don Robertson, but with rain expected a second inspection has now been scheduled for 3:30 pm leaving fans none the wiser about whether the game will take place.

Reacting to the official announcement from the hosts on Twitter (10 April), Four Lads were notably unhappy about the situation.

“Game on for now,” they wrote. “We’ve seen this before, an utter shambles.”

An absolute joke from Dundee and SPFL

Everyone and their grandmother knew that the pitch was going to be a massive issue for this game, and the weather has shown no sign of letting up either.

Motherwell were absolutely furious about having to play on the pitch on Saturday, and Rangers fans already knew then that Wednesday’s game would then be in doubt.

But somehow the SPFL have allowed this situation to continue to snowball and made no plans for alternatives to take fans into account.

Rangers fans have now got to travel for the game only for it to potentially be called off late on once again because of weather that everyone has known about for a long while.

It’s further proof that fans are the last thought of the people who are actually in charge of the game and it’s pathetic. Fans deserve better and the SPFL should be criticised thoroughly for allowing this situation to develop the way it has.

In other Rangers news, the club want to sign this Euro ace in £3.4m deal with an official offer expected soon.
