Rangers: Noel Gallagher shares Old Firm title prediction with Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist
Noel Gallagher has shared his SPFL title prediction with Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist as he admitted Rangers are in the driver’s seat but backed Celtic to win it.
The Oasis superstar initially confessed the race would be too tough to call before Brazil brought up that Rangers still have to go to Parkhead, as Gallagher conceded that could make the difference.
However, he did insist Philippe Clement’s side have it in their hands if they win their game in hand, a rearranged trip to face Dundee at Dens Park on 10 April.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [10 April, 08:45], Gallagher shared: “Rangers are in the driver’s seat because if they win their game in hand, they’re ahead. But you can’t call it.”
Brazil then jumped in, sharing: “You can call it. With 60,000 at Parkhead, you can call it, Noel.”
Gallagher then conceded: “I’ve got to say the Bhoys will do it,” as Brazil simply responded: “Nice one,” while McCoist told him: “You’ve ruined it [the conversation] for me now.”
SPFL title race could be decided by Rangers v Celtic at Parkhead
Gallagher’s lean towards Celtic – plus Brazil’s insistence – clearly made a difference to his title prediction, but there is no doubt the game at Parkhead will likely prove decisive as to the destination of this season’s SPFL title.
After a 3-3 draw at Ibrox saw neither side make any advanced claim towards the top of the table, Rangers have the opportunity to move back up into first place with a win against Dundee which as Gallagher shared would put them in the driver’s seat.
With the Parkhead clash likely to be crucial, former Celtic player Davie Hay questioned the mentality of Clement’s side and whether they would go into that game looking for a draw which can often prove fatal in the Old Firm derby.

With just one point separating the teams so far, and Clement’s side with the potential to move two ahead if they win against Dundee at Dens Park, it remains a difficult one to call and both sides will need to step up.
