Four Lads explode at ‘Crazy Demented’ Michael Stewart amid Rangers v Celtic controversy

Four Lads Had A Dream have ripped into BBC Sport pundit Michael Stewart after what he said about the penalty controversy from the draw between Rangers and Celtic.

The Old Firm derby ended in a 3-3 draw with Fabio Silva winning a controversial penalty after being tripped by Alistair Johnston in the second half, with Chris Sutton and Stewart raging at the decision.

But after Stewart continued his push on social media about the decision (9 April), Four Lads decided to take aim at the pundit and responded with a lengthy post slaughtering him for his agenda against the Ibrox club.

“Michael, when I was in high school I fancied this girl called Lyndsay, I finally got a date & took her to see Notting Hill, I was smitten, she was unreal,” they wrote.

“Asked her out & she said no. I was crushed. However, we remained pals & I got over it. Sometimes when I see Notting Hill advertised on the old movie channel it stings a wee bit but I’ve moved on.

“I didn’t become a demented crazy person & just go mental every time I saw her name mentioned. So here’s where my wee life story might help you.

“Your trial at Rangers was twenty odd years ago, you were s—-, we didn’t want you & we said no. Deal with it.

“Now I know it hurts, sometimes I think Lyndsay was a wee b—-, but get over it. Move on with your life. You have failed at loads of stuff since, try to even out your anger. Stop being a demented crazy person & move on. Hope this helps.”

Why does Michael Stewart hate Rangers so much?

It’s clear to anyone who is paying attention that Stewart doesn’t like Rangers very much, but it’s not really clear why.

The ex-midfielder had a trial at Ibrox many moons ago and was deemed not good enough, just like he ultimately was at Manchester United too.

But while he’s been given a platform by the BBC in particular, Rangers fans have obviously grown annoyed at having to listen to him belittle and go against the club at any opportunity.

The post from Four Lads may be a bit personal, but it’s definitely the right moral that’s being given and Stewart needs to start being fair with his analysis.

Whether there was a touch on the ball or not is irrelevant in today’s game. Johnston clearly made contact with Silva at knee height with his challenge, and that makes it a foul. Plain and simple.
