Rangers: Tom English moots even more drama on BBC after Ibrox scenes
Rangers and Celtic produced chaos in spades during their 3-3 draw in the latest Old Firm derby, and Tom English is backing even more drama when Philippe Clement’s side take on Dundee.
Ibrox was host to one of the most memorable Old Firm clashes in many years as the draw kept Rangers a point behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race.
With a game-in-hand in the bank, the Bears can go top of the Scottish Premiership with a win at Dundee on Wednesday 10 April.
Sharing his post-match analysis for the BBC, English said: “Both sides deserve a lot of praise and both emerge with their title hopes intact. Roll on the next chapter of this drama on Wednesday night.”
Rangers ready to seize initiative and climb to summit in Dundee
The Wednesday night in question sees Clement’s side travel north to Dundee, where three points can take them above Celtic to the top of the table.
Recovering from a lacklustre opening 45 minutes to twice equalise late on against their biggest rivals at Ibrox, the Gers have the chance to build on that momentum and gain the advantage in this season’s nail-biting title race.

Following the character they showed in the second half, English too has backed Rangers to beat Dundee, praising Clement for the steel his side played with to snatch a point.
Questions will remain after how badly they played in the first half, but if Rangers turn up at Dens Park with the character they showed in the second, good luck stopping them from climbing to the top of the Premiership on Wednesday night.
With VAR drama and on-field controversy taking centre stage at Ibrox, it would be nice if the trip to Dundee delivered a straightforward three points – if the game goes ahead.
In other Rangers news, Daily Record journalist Keith Jackson was baffled at the ‘ridiculous’ decision to award Celtic a first-half penalty.
