Rangers: Alan Brazil fumes at Ally McCoist dig live on talkSPORT after Celtic draw at Ibrox
Alan Brazil was fuming as Gabby Agbonlahor told him Ally McCoist had been on the phone after Rangers’ comeback to a 3-3 draw in the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox.
Despite taking a two-goal lead, throwing it away, and then failing to make the most of a late goal to put them ahead, Celtic failed to kill off the game and kept Rangers in the title fight.
Brazil, however, insisted that all Brendan Rodgers’ team have to do is win their remaining games to win the league, with Gers still facing a trip to Parkhead after the league splits.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [06:06], Agbonlahor joked: “From two goals up, what are Celtic doing? What’s up, mate? I had missed calls from your mate McCoist after the game.”
Brazil then shared: “Just tell him we’ve got to win every game and we’ve won it. [Rangers have to play Celtic] again at Parkhead. Get your facts right please before you chuckle. It’s in a few weeks’ time, but is anyone going to drop points before that?”
SPFL title race continues after Rangers and Celtic draw at Ibrox
Celtic and Brazil will no doubt be frustrated by the result at Ibrox given their strong position, both with the two-goal lead and after the late Adam Idah goal which had seemingly won them the game in the 87th minute.
Rangers, though, will be especially pleased with the final score even if they would have preferred a win before the first whistle blew. A late 93rd-minute strike from Rabbi Matondo ensured Phillipe Clement’s men could still take top spot with a win in their game in hand.
The game was not without its controversies, with Chris Sutton left fuming live on Sky Sports after Fabio Silva was felled in the box leading to a penalty to Rangers, despite his best efforts to pretend the forward hadn’t been kicked in the knee.

But as Brazil insisted, the result means the title race is far from over. The clash at Parkhead later this season will likely prove the true decider in front of a packed Celtic crowd and it will be up to Clement to ensure his team turns up.
