Rangers: ‘Major’ Luis Palma injury update emerges for Celtic ahead of Old Firm clash
Celtic could be set to receive a “major” boost after an injury update has emerged on Luis Palma ahead of the clash against Rangers on Sunday (7 April), according to The Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported on its website on Tuesday (2 April) that the Honduran international is ahead of schedule with his rehab from the muscle injury he suffered in training last month.
It added that the 24-year-old winger is expected to be involved in training before the Old Firm showdown and will almost certainly go into the Hoops’ squad for the game at Ibrox if he comes through the sessions with no reaction.
Luis Palma could provide Celtic with boost ahead of Rangers clash
It would be a huge boost for Celtic if they can call upon Palma for the game against Rangers as he adds a different dimension to their attack.
The winger, who was linked with a move to the Gers before joining their Glasgow rivals, has registered nine goals and 10 assists so far this season.
It’s unlikely he would go straight back into the starting lineup, but Brendan Rodgers would be delighted if he can call upon him at Ibrox.

The Hoops boss will be looking for any advantage he can get heading into the game, while Philippe Clement will also be hoping his stars are fit and healthy.
While the result won’t completely decide where the title is going to end up this season, they will both know the importance of not losing this fixture.
