Rangers: Fabio Silva must start v Hibernian at Ibrox after ‘fantastic’ international break
Rangers manager Philippe Clement will be glad to have his international players back at Ibrox ahead of a crucial period.
The boss would have been very frustrated at the timing of recent events, with club football breaking up after their Europa League exit to Benfica and the postponement of their league clash with Dundee.
But the Gers are back in action very shortly, with old rivals Hibernian travelling to Ibrox on Saturday (30 March) for a Scottish Premiership clash.
Given the very busy schedule incoming, with the Dundee match needing to be rearranged for early next month, Clement may be forced into resting some of his international stars.
But he would be foolish to overlook striker Fabio Silva, with the Wolves loanee having a superb international break with Portugal Under-21s.
Rangers ace Fabio Silva is shining brightly for club and country
As per the official Rangers website (27 March), the forward netted in his nation’s 4-0 Euro qualifying win against Faroe Islands, before netting another and bagging two assists in a “fantastic individual display” in the 5-1 win against Croatia.
With two goals and two assists from two matches, the Ibrox loanee will be full of confidence, and can really do serious damage against Hibs if given a run out from the first whistle.
Silva will be keen to finish the campaign strongly with Rangers, but the striker may also have international ambitions with the senior Portugal side following his latest exploits for the Under-21s.

His club future meanwhile remains up in the air, with the 21-year-old recently explaining that he is keen to extend his stay in Glasgow.
