Hearts aim fresh dig at Rangers in official post on Tuesday as controversy rumbles on

Hearts have aimed a fresh dig at Rangers in an official post after an incident took place following the Sky Sports Cup final.

The Jambos released a statement on Sunday (24 March) asking for answers as to why the Gers Women had layered their crest over the Edinburgh club’s badge in the changing room at Tynecastle after their 4-1 victory over Partick Thistle.

In a post on their men’s team’s official Twitter page on Tuesday (26 March), Hearts used a marketing tagline of “do it for the badge” when sharing ticketing information for their upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final against the Light Blues on 21 April at Hampden Park.

Rangers and Hearts controversy got out of hand

The situation regarding Rangers’ badge being stuck over the Hearts crest has got completely out of hand and really just needs to be put to bed.

But the Jambos are the only ones who are continuing to keep the outrage rumbling on following their latest post on social media.

While some people may believe it was offensive to cover up the club’s badge, those kinds of things happen all the time when finals are being played at a team’s stadium.

It’s added a bit more spice to the Scottish Cup semi-final anyway, where the men’s sides will be looking to book their place in the final against either Celtic or Aberdeen.

It’s just unfortunate that the controversy has completely overshadowed what was an excellent victory for the Gers Women in their cup final.

In other Rangers news, Neil Lennon has labelled a situation as “unacceptable” after what happened to the Gers.
