Rangers: Four Lads drop sarcastic reaction as official Ridvan Yilmaz news drops

Four Lads Had A Dream have reacted to news that Ridvan Yilmaz has been sent back to Rangers following an injury while on international duty.

The left-back lasted just 27 minutes while playing for Turkey on Friday night (22 March) before suffering a thigh injury that forced him to be substituted.

And after an evaluation the 22-year-old has now been sent back to Ibrox as he will be unable to feature in the next game, in a huge blow to Rangers.

Reacting to the official statement from the Turkish FA, Four Lads took to their Twitter account (23 March) to sarcastically declare the news “wonderful”, alongside an emoji of a face welling up with tears.

Rangers suffer another crushing blow

If Philippe Clement is going to be the man to bring number 56 to Ibrox this season, then he needs to find a way to be able to stem the issues with injuries.

Danilo, Abdallah Sima, Oscar Cortes, Kieran Dowell and Ryan Jack are all out injured for the long-term, while Dujon Sterling, Rabbi Matondo and Ross McCausland have all now suffered injuries in the short-term also.

So for Ridvan to go down with a problem too, so soon after becoming a regular staple in the manager’s strongest starting lineup is a huge blow.

Yilmaz’s performances since the turn of the year in particular have been fantastic and he has claimed his spot in the team, seeing Borna Barisic essentially frozen out of the team.

But a muscle injury likely means a decent amount of time on the sidelines, and with such big games coming up the manager now must find a new solution.

In other Rangers news, the Ibrox club are preparing for a “mini-revolution” this summer in the transfer window.
