Rangers v Celtic: Reo Hatate injury update emerges for Old Firm derby

Reo Hatate steps up his recovery to be available for Celtic when they take on Rangers in the Old Firm derby on 7 April.

According to the Glasgow Times on 21 March, he played 45 minutes for the Hoops in a behind-closed-doors match v St Mirren on Wednesday, 20 March.

It also means that he could be in contention at Livingston which is scheduled before the crunch derby at Ibrox.

Rangers are favourites to beat Celtic with or without Hatate

Hatate’s return from injury could introduce an element of unpredictability for Gers, potentially disrupting plans they had in mind.

Rangers may feel more assured facing a Celtic side without a fully fit and integrated Hatate.

However, even if Hatate is available, Philippe Clement’s remain the favourites in the upcoming Old Firm derby.

The Ibrox outfit have displayed consistent performance throughout the season, showcasing their quality and depth across the squad.

Moreover, with the Scottish Premiership title race hanging in the balance, Gers understand the importance of securing victories in crucial matches like the Old Firm derby.
