Rangers injury news: Abdallah Sima update shared by Doctor
Rangers attacker and Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima will undergo fitness checks as he is aiming to return from an injury layoff, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that it’s premature to iron out a return date for the Senegal international as he’s not yet back in first-team training.
He was been ruled out since January after picking up a thigh injury while on international duty at the AFCON.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“The key will be how he responds to increased intensity, particularly during team training.
“If it all checks out, then he should be back after the break as the team is indicating.
“He will undergo certain tests to monitor his fitness over the coming days.
“An indicator of when he’ll be ready for first-team action will be when he rejoins full first-team training.“
Rangers and Philippe Clement face anxious Sima wait
The 22-year-old moved to Ibrox from Brighton on loan this summer and enjoyed a riveting start to life in Scotland.
He bagged 15 goals in the first half of the season and became among the first names on the team sheet for Philippe Clement.
In his absence, the likes of Fabio Silva and Rabbi Matondo have filled in on the left wing.

However, none have quite had the same impact as the Senegal international did for the Ibrox outfit.
In other Rangers news, the club are set to bank a significant windfall as a multi-million transfer update has emerged recently.
