
Rangers make official Manchester United announcement at Murrayfield
Rangers have announced via their official X account that they will play Manchester United at Murrayfield in a pre-season friendly this summer.
The clash at the home of Scottish Rugby will be played on July 20, with United playing host to Philippe Clement’s men as they prepare ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The official announcement points to it being a clash of two of Britain’s most successful clubs facing off, and it could provide the only opportunity to watch Rangers live in Scotland this summer.

Two of Britain’s biggest and most successful teams facing off in Scotland is sure to be a fantastic occasion and provide a tough challenge for Clement’s team as they prepare for another big season in the SPFL, given how close the title race has been this season.
the two sides share plenty of links after historic clashes over the years and the relationship United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has with the Ibrox club, as well as current goalkeeper Jack Butland who arrived in Glasgow after his spell in Manchester.
Rangers shared their delight at having been invited to challenge United at Murrayfield this summer, as it will provide plenty of exposure for the club with the game likely to be watched from all over the world.
With the planned redevelopment of the Copland Stand at Ibrox to take place over the summer, Murrayfield was selected as the host of the game, with season-ticket holders granted the opportunity to get their hands on the first tickets.
