Rangers windfall news as Bayern Munich and Malik Tillman transfer claim emerges

Rangers will bank a “significant” windfall as Malik Tillman aims to leave Bayern Munich and join PSV, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reported on its website on 18 March that it will cost the Dutch side £12million to secure the services of the United States international.

Gers were keen on exercising their option to buy Tillman in the summer and even held talks, but Bayern paid them £1million in order to buy out that clause.

Rangers must use the windfall on shrewd transfers and overall development

The potential windfall from Tillman’s permanent move to PSV presents a positive development for Gers.

With a significant chunk of the £12million fee set to flow into the club’s coffers, the Ibrox outfit can bolster their financial position, enabling them to invest in various areas to enhance the team and infrastructure.

This injection of funds could be allocated towards acquiring new players to strengthen the squad, thereby improving their competitiveness domestically and in European competitions.

Additionally, Rangers may utilise the funds to upgrade training facilities, youth development programs, or stadium infrastructure, fostering long-term sustainability and growth for the club.

Things appear to be heading in the right direction under Philippe Clement and the board has been overhauled in the last year so there are plenty of signs for fans to be optimistic about the club’s mid-term future.

In other Rangers news, a player has admitted that Celtic made an effort to sign him after he left Ibrox.
