Rangers: ‘Monstrous’ development on cards at Ibrox as BBC pundit speaks out
By Stephen Kountourou
Kenny Miller has admitted that Rangers could face a “monstrous” week in the Scottish Premiership with their game against Dundee needing to be rearranged.
The BBC pundit was unimpressed with Dundee’s preparation for the match against Rangers with this being the fourth game of the season they have had to postpone due to bad weather.
Miller insists it is a psychological blow, with Celtic going into the international break top of the SPFL and with Rangers already dealing with a congested run of fixtures going into the final stages of the season.
Speaking to the BBC Scottish Football Podcast, via the Daily Record (18 March) Miller said: “Celtic are sitting top for the next couple of weeks – and where is this game going to go?
“Do you fire it in between Hibs and Celtic – which becomes an absolutely monstrous week – or do you put it after Celtic when it would probably need to be because it’s between the last split game?
“So it’s another midweek game when I’m sure a lot of the talk has been that Europe is gone, now you can just concentrate on the league and go week-to-week – but not know.”
Rangers face Scottish Premiership issues
Miller’s criticism of Dundee’s staff is justifiable.
Having already had three matches postponed due to bad weather, there should have been proper preparation so that it wouldn’t occur again.
This postponement could have massive implications for the title race too and had Rangers been able to play and win then it would be them sitting at the top of the table before the international break.
Paying fans will feel hard done by as both home and away supporters have had an afternoon wasted travelling to see a fixture that took a long time to be announced as postponed on the day.

Philippe Clement was rightly angry with the standard of the pitch which has cost his side the chance to stay top and allow their local rivals to pip them by two points.
With the standard and management of Scottish football under the microscope every single week, this is something that needs to be improved across the board, not just at Dundee.
