Rangers: Brighton line up to seal Archie Stevens transfer in Premier League news
Brighton & Hove Albion are eyeing a move for Rangers star Archie Stevens ahead of the summer transfer window, according to FootballTransfers.
The online source reported [18 March] that the Seagulls are joined by Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Brentford in keeping tabs on the 18-year-old winger.
The Gers signed Stevens from AFC Wimbledon in July 2022, making his debut as a 16-year-old as Rangers defeated Queen of the South 3-1 in the League Cup one month later.
Could Rangers lose Archie Stevens to a Premier League outfit?
Much to the disappointment of many at Auchehowie, Stevens could very much leave the club in the summer, with multiple Premier League teams coming knocking.
The route from academy levels to the first team under Philippe Clement looks a clear one, with 20-year-old Ross McCausland the latest evidence for this.
Given his debut by Steven Davis earlier this season, the winger has gone from strength to strength at Ibrox, learning and developing during a superb campaign for the Gers.
There could have been a very simple journey for Stevens to gain more game time in the senior team, having only made it onto the pitch for a handful of minutes on his debut.

However, the bright shine of the Premier League could be too much for the youngster, who has a lot of promise as a footballer. As one of the best performers in the Rangers B team, he will be a huge miss, but he can be replaced.
Of course, Brighton have a recent history of purchasing incredible talents for a bargain price and seeing them flourish in one of the best leagues in the world. If they have an interest in Stevens, it only doubles down on the fact that the Rangers man is a future star.
He is certainly one to watch, wherever he ends up.
