Luis Palma ‘Major Doubt’ for Rangers clash v Celtic as new injury emerges
Rangers have been handed a major boost ahead of the Old Firm derby next month with Celtic star Luis Palma now a “major doubt” for the game.
Writing on their website (14 March), The Scottish Sun report that the Honduras international has been sent home from international duty with a muscle injury in his right leg.
Brendan Rodgers initially claimed the injury was minor, but the Honduras FA now claim he will be sidelined for four weeks which makes him a “major doubt” for the Old Firm clash at Parkhead on April 7th.
Advantage Rangers for the Old Firm vs Celtic?
Rangers have been dealing with a host of injury issues all season long, and it’s hugely effected the way they have been able to approach games.
Philippe Clement has navigated the situation brilliantly, and the hope will be that after a two-week period where the majority of players can recover and train during the international break he will have more options to choose from.
With Palma now injured, Celtic will potentially be missing a key player from their attack for the game which is likely to be viewed as a title decider by both sides.

That’s a huge boost for the Ibrox club as they finally look to put the hoodoo against their fierce rivals behind them and claim title number 56.
Palma was so nearly a Rangers player in the summer before opting for a move to Celtic instead. Clement can now show him what he could have been a part of by going there and claiming a massive win he can do nothing about from the sidelines.
