Rangers: Chris Sutton fires new jab at Todd Cantwell amid ongoing dispute over Ibrox ace
Chris Sutton has fired a new jab at Rangers star Todd Cantwell as he is seemingly unwilling to let the ongoing dispute between the pair go.
Sutton was debating who the biggest divers of all time are in football, with the former Celtic man initially naming Bruno Fernandes and Harry Kane before turning his focus to Cantwell.
Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off podcast [11 March], Sutton jabbed: “I should say Todd Cantwell as well, but I’m not going down that petty route.”
This is the latest dig made in recent weeks after he previously labelled the Ibrox ace “TikTok Todd” when discussing who he has criticised on the podcast with Daily Mail journalist Ian Ladyman.
Chris Sutton aims yet another dig at Rangers star Todd Cantwell
Sutton’s latest dig, coming off the back of the previous one, could reignite the long-running dispute between the pair which has included countless swipes and digs whenever the midfielder was involved in a key moment at Ibrox.
With the dispute appearing to calm in recent times, it may begin to simmer again if Sutton continues to aim his comments the way of the Ibrox ace – although he recently acknowledged the upturn in form Cantwell has shown.
The midfielder was widely criticised by many after appearing on a podcast in which he discussed his footballing career so far, with Kris Boyd joining Sutton in slamming him, urging him to just focus on football instead of the circus off the field.

Currently injured, fans at Ibrox will be anticipating the return of a key player, particularly given the injury crisis Philippe Clement has faced, and Cantwell will be focused on making a swift return to action.
