Rangers: Jack Butland videos sent to England coach every week at Ibrox

England goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson is sent weekly videos on Rangers number one Jack Butland so he can review his form.

That is according to Sky Sports, with the publication reporting on its website on Tuesday (27 February) that the goalkeeper is in contention for a Three Lions recall.

England will take on Brazil and Belgium in international friendlies later this month as part of their Euro 2024 preparations.

Rangers star Jack Butland set for shock England recall?

A return to the England setup for Butland would be a real shock, with the goalkeeper last playing for the Three Lions over five years ago, in September 2018.

He has made nine appearances for his country, and could now reach double figures if Gareth Southgate decides on a recall.

It would, however, perhaps be unlikely that the figure would be reached given the likely presence of Everton star Jordan Pickford in the squad.

With time running out before Euro 2024 this summer, Southgate will be keen on giving players chances, but he will also be eager to put his best XI together.

Pickford is certainly still the country’s number one, and is very likely to remain in that role when the tournament comes around.

It is, however, a testament to how good Butland has been at Ibrox that he is now in the conversation, with the goalkeeper shining brightly since his move to Glasgow.
