Simon Jordan shares brand new Rangers and Celtic verdict in Scottish Premiership
Simon Jordan believes Celtic are the only team standing in Rangers’ way of lifting the Scottish Premiership title, and is not surprised by Philippe Clement’s impact at Ibrox.
The Gers have opened up a two-point gap at the top of the table, closing a massive gap between the two that emerged during the Michael Beale era.
Rangers have lost just one competitive match under Philippe Clement since his arrival in October, with the title now theirs to lose after the Hoops dropped points against Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.
Speaking live via talkSPORT on Monday (26 February, 12:07pm), Jordan said: “Rangers seem to be in the groove. But they have yet to overcome Celtic in the league. If they can do that, then they can win this league. I look at it, and it’s fascinating.
“Philippe Clement has come in and done a job, and I’m not surprised because he exuded the position that I often say that others haven’t done, which is to look like a person with meaning, like a leader. Rangers have come on like a train.”
Can Rangers pip Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title?
During Michael Beale’s reign at Ibrox, the Scottish Premiership title already looked lost, as Celtic charged away with the league.
However, since the appointment of Clement, Rangers have only gone from strength to strength, with their only loss coming in the Old Firm derby in December.
The defeat to Celtic looks to have angered Clement and his side, with the Gers going unbeaten since that moment at Celtic Park, completing 10 victories in all competitions.
With upcoming Europa League ties against Benfica, the Gers also have the chance for even more success and silverware, much to the frustration of Celtic fans, and they show no signs of slowing down.

Even despite a busier schedule, Clement has done brilliantly to rotate his squad while also maintaining positive results, which has helped keep the players fresh, hungry and focused.
As Jordan alluded to, the league title could very much come down to the wire, and be decided by another Old Firm derby. This time, the Belgian will be far more prepared to take on Brendan Rodgers.
