Four Lads namecheck Ange Postecoglou as Rangers hammer Hearts 5-0 with ‘Brilliant’ performance

Four Lads Had A Dream have compared Philippe Clement’s Rangers side to Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic after a dominant 5-0 win over Hearts at Ibrox.

The Bears waltzed to victory thanks to goals from Mohammed Diomande, Oscar Cortes, Cyriel Dessers (2) and Fabio Silva to move five points clear of Celtic at the top of the table.

And reacting to the performance on their personal Twitter account (24 February), Four Lads couldn’t help but compare this team’s “relentless” approach to that of their fierce rivals over the last few years.

“This reminds me of them [Celtic] years ago under Ange, we don’t like to say it, but they were relentless and hammered teams in games we thought they might drop,” they wrote.

“We are now that relentless attacking team. This is brilliant stuff.”

Rangers are relentless again

It’s been a long time since Rangers have been a relentless attacking force, but it feels that way again at Ibrox now.

Clement has got this team firing on all cylinders, and despite the injuries that the squad keep suffering nobody is underperforming or being carried.

Hearts came into this game in tremendous form, but Rangers kept them quiet for the vast majority of the game and put them to the sword at the other end despite having Dujon Sterling playing as a right-winger.

It shows just how well organised Clement has got this team and how well drilled everyone is, and the fans are fully behind everyone at the club right now.

Obviously Rangers don’t like to be compared to Celtic, even if it’s in a good way, but this can’t be taken negatively and if they can maintain it over the coming weeks, months and years then this could be the start of a very successful era once again.
