Rangers: Doctor reveals Todd Cantwell injury blow after St Johnstone clash
Rangers attacking midfielder Todd Cantwell faces weeks to months out with a hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert had spotted him coming off in the 3-0 win against St Johnstone on Sunday, 18 February.
Before he came off, he had a word with Philippe Clement and then Sky Sports showed footage of him potentially nursing a hamstring injury.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He was spotted holding his hamstring and then was it strapped on later.
“There even were conversations with the manager before he came off.
“While it’s not a good sign, it is hard to say the severity and the best case would be a Grade 1 injury, which is day to day to 10 days.
“On the other hand, the worst case is a Grade 3 which is over three months.“
Rangers face an anxious wait over Todd Cantwell’s fitness
Cantwell has been one of the star players for Clement’s side this season and is one his most important players.
He’s the one knitting things together in the final third and even against St Johnstone, he was lively while the likes of Fabio Silva and Scott Wright were struggling.

Hopefully, it’s not as bad as him being ruled out for months and he can return to action sooner rather than later.
